What is your name and tell us a little bit about yourself?

Faye Dobson, married to Ken with two children, Hannah 9 and George 7.

I started working for Hoopstarz 6 years ago following a 20 year career in admin and sales. I love keeping fit so it’s great that my job contributes often to this when I’ve not got time to go to the gym.

How did you first get involved with Hoopstarz?

After having my children I gained a Teaching Assistant qualification and was looking to work in schools. I met Tracey through a friend and she offered me the chance to use my newly acquired skills in an after school club as well as using my previous experience to help out in the office – it was perfect!

What is your favourite thing about working for Hoopstarz?

There are so many!!!

Seeing the children’s faces when they master hooping for the first time. It’s priceless!!

The fantastic feedback we get from teachers – especially when they are surprised with a child who would not usually engage in PE.

The flexibility – I work more hours during the busy periods but then get a bit more time to catch up on family life when I can.

The relationships we build with colleagues and regular clients, their continued feedback gives us great ideas for new programmes and helps us keep Hoopstarz sustainable.

The buzz I get from receiving a booking from a brand new client, It’s great to see the business growing and knowing that yet another school is about to benefit from our fantastic programme.

What is your favourite memory of working for Hoopstarz?

Every festival we do is a great memory. Tracey inspires us all and keeps us on our toes as we’re never quite sure what new idea she has up her sleeve for us to demonstrate! Great fun!! It’s a sight to behold watching over 100 kids hooping together!!
